Waste Management Education in Sri Lanka: A New Hope This project aims to improve waste management education in Sri Lanka. New bachelor’s and master’s courses will be developed, and existing courses will be redesigned. These courses will be interdisciplinary, student-centered, and focused on employability. The project will also train teachers, develop digital learning resources, and recruit female students. In addition, the project will cooperate with industry, include local municipalities as partners, and disseminate its findings. These activities will build capacity at HEIs, provide advisory services, raise the international profile of the institutions, and develop the capacity of staff. Future graduates will be equipped to tackle Sri Lanka’s waste management challenges and improve living conditions.
