The Program Structure

Applicants who possess one of the following minimum qualifications and good knowledge of English are eligible to apply for the MSc. degree programme.

1. Bachelor’s Honours / Special degree (SLQF 6) in Management and Management related discipline, received from a recognized University:

– with a class standing or

– and one-year post-qualifying experience

2. Bachelor’s Honours / Special degree (SLQF 6) in any other field other than Management and Management related discipline, received from a recognised University:

– with a class standing AND one-year post-qualifying  experience OR

– With a three-year post-qualifying experience.

3. A Bachelor’s Degree (SLQF 5) in Management and Management related discipline from a recognized University:

– With a First Class or Second Class (Upper Division) standing and one-year post-qualifying experience.

– And two years post qualifying experience

4. A Bachelor’s Degree (SLQF 5) in any other discipline other than management and management related areas with a class standing from a recognized University and two-year post qualifying experience.

5. A Postgraduate Diploma not less than one year or equivalent to SLQF 8 in Management and Management related discipline from a recognized University

6. A Postgraduate Certificate not less than one year or equivalent to SLQF 7 in Management and Management related discipline from a recognized University and one year post qualifying  experience.

7. A Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma not less than one year  or equivalent to SLQF 7 or SLQF 8 respectively in any other discipline other than management and management related areas from a recognized University and two years post qualifying experience.

8. Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technical Education (SLIATE), Higher National Diploma in Accountancy (HNDA) the four year course or – Higher National Diploma in Management / Commerce (HNDC), the three year course.

9. Completion of NVQ Level 07 (B. Tech)

10. Any other professional qualifications not included above could be considered subject to the approval of the University Senate,  provided that the candidate has secured SLQF 5 level qualification or equivalent qualification.
